For two hours I sat motionless, crosslegged to avoid pointing my feet toward the dojo which is strictly forbidden. When the coach arrived, I shuffled on my knees and presented him with a gift: a bottle of sake. I motioned with my hands to ask if I could take pictures. He nodded once. Only then was I allowed to shoot.

Tailgating
When I was in Verbier during Tour de France I shot these mountain images. It was hot and sunny in the village but, very unusual for July, there was fresh snow higher up. At 11 am, I was only the third person to ride up on the cable car.
